Hanson Canada hosted its 2018 annual meeting on Friday, November 23, 2018 aboard the “Captain Matthew Flinders” cruise ship in Toronto, Ontario.

The meeting brought together all Hanson Canada Ontario staff and faculty from its Brampton, North York and Toronto campuses. Beginning with a welcoming introduction of ten new employees who joined the Hanson family during the Fall 2018 semester, President and CEO, Shouyi Ma, followed with opening remarks setting a celebratory tone for the meeting focusing on achievements, recognition and Hanson Core Values.

Following lunch, the most anticipated portion of the meeting celebrated five Teacher of the Year Awards, six Employee of the Year Awards and a significant anniversary milestone. Recognized as an invaluable member of the Hanson Canada family for her dedication, loyalty and contributions, Brampton Campus Director, Heather Garland, was presented with the 10 Years of Service Award.

The Hanson team also raised a total of $1,315 for charity in support of Eva’s Place, a shelter for homeless youth aged 16-24, providing support youth need to return home or to transition to housing in the community, in a silent auction with a total 67 bids.
Together the Hanson team looks forward to bigger and better achievements, ensuring our education solutions are simple, seamless, and inclusive as we sail into 2019.
